Lorenzo Lopez Baca, a custodian for the Roswell Independent School District, and lifelong resident of Roswell NM, was called to be with our Father in Heaven Jesus Christ on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at the age of 50.

Lorenzo is survived by his parents; John and Alvina Prudencio and his children; SueAllen, Shampane, Lorenzo Jr, Brittany, and Charisma Baca; his father Celestino Horton Baca, and his sisters Penny, Jaime Baca, TJ Baca and Jennifer Baca. And will be welcomed in Heaven by his brother Tino Baca; grandparents Pilar Anaya Lopez, Joe M. Lopez, Leroy Prudencio; his son Elijah Baca, sister Karen Baca, and Martin Prudencio.

Lorenzo was born in Roswell on August 26, 1970 to Alvina Prudencio and Celestino Baca. He attended Roswell High School where he developed his very artistic abilities. He enjoyed drawing, painting, playing with his nieces and nephews, and working on cars. He loved oldies music, low riders and especially spending time with friends and family.

Lorenzo was a devoted father to his five kids and welcomed nine grandchildren; Maximailian, Aglesias, Axena, Azelena, Avieana, and Arissa Baca, Jeremiah and Thomas McConnell, and Andy Carrasco, who were the most important part of his life. He was a spiritual man who loved God and took pride in helping others and especially his enormous family. He loved telling stories of his younger days to all of the kids. And loved his mother’s home cooked meals. A supportive man with a beautiful heart. He will be deeply missed by friends, family and all who knew him.

Lorenzo will be accompanied by his loving pallbearers ; Raymond Molina, Lorenzo Baca,  Jesus Alvarado Jr, Dominic Atkinson, Marvin Perez, Edward Miranda, Celestino Baca Jr., and Anthony Archuleta, he will also be accompanied by his honorary pallbearers; Joseph Baca, John Stone Jr., Anthony Rodriguez, Elizabeth Baca Stone, Amanda Cantu, and Stephanie Perez.

A viewing will be held Wednesday, May 26, 2021 from 2:00pm to 6:00pm at Ballard Funeral Home with funeral service scheduled for 10:00 am on Thursday, May 27, 2021 at Ballard Funeral Home. Pastor Sean Lee of Grace Community Church will officiate his services.

Flowers, donations, and condolences may be offered at 1401 Hoagland St., Roswell NM, 88203.
