The American Legion Post No. 28 invites anyone with a worn American flag that needs to be disposed of to bring it to a flag-retirement ceremony Saturday morning.

The ceremony will begin promptly at 10 a.m. at the post, 1620 N. Montana, so anyone bringing a flag should plan on arriving around 9 a.m., Post Commander Louis Mestas said.

The ceremony will follow American Legion protocol for disposal of U.S. flags, Mestas said.

The Norman E. Harpole Post 61 and area Boy Scout troops will also participate in the ceremony. The Roswell Fire Department will also be on hand for the ceremony.
