A two-vehicle crash Tuesday in south Roswell left one person dead.

The collision occurred Tuesday at about 11:30 a.m. at the intersection of Southeast Main Street and Brasher Road, according to a post on the Facebook page of the Roswell Police Department. Another person was transported to an area hospital.

As of press time no additional details about the accident — such as the name of the deceased, or condition of the person hospitalized — had been released.

Because of the accident the intersection was temporarily closed to eastbound and westbound traffic, while southbound traffic was diverted at Poe Street. An update to the Facebook post said the intersection was reopened to traffic at 4 p.m.
