Report: Thousands in damage as 10 cigars stolen

Police responded to a report made at 6:40 a.m. on June 19 of forced entry, burglary and damage in the 200 block of S. Main St. The report indicated a broken window and damaged or destroyed cash register, with the value of the items estimated at $8,000, and 10 stolen cigars worth $9.90.

Arrests/citations

Amber N. Sosa was charged with driving under the influence of intoxicating liquor or drugs during a June 19 incident at 2:31 a.m. in the 2700 block of South Washington Ave.

Joseph Thomas Muniz was charged with driving under the influence of intoxicating liquor or drugs at 5:42 p.m. on June 19 in the 300 block of East Bonney Street.

Martin Marquez was charged with robbery at 8:14 a.m. on June 20 in the 1800 block of South Pennsylvania Avenue.

Chantal T. Aragon was charged with possession of controlled or prohibited substances at 6:40 p.m. on June 21 in the 1600 block of West Alameda Street.

Galvin Zahn Davis was charged with robbery at 6:07 a.m. on June 22 in the 1200 block of Highland Road.

Nena Marie Ramirez on June 24 at 3 a.m. was charged with controlled substances, possession prohibited at an 1800 block of North Main Street location.

William Leray Naylor was charged with aggravated driving while under the influence of intoxicating liquor or drugs on June 24 at 4:38 p.m. in the 1600 block of North Michigan Avenue.

Arson/criminal damage

A broken window at a home in the 100 block of South Forest Drive, valued at about $100, was reported to police on June 20 at 8:18 p.m.

A broken car window valued at $500 was reported to police at 8:08 a.m. on June 21 at a location on Taos Court.

An officer responded June 22 at 5:37 a.m. to a criminal damage call in the 600 block of North Virginia Avenue. Glass doors with a combined value of $600 were reported damaged.

Larcenies/thefts

Police were dispatched June 19 at 1:33 p.m. to the 2700 block of North Main St. in reference to a shoplifting. Clothing and accessories worth $164.93 were reported stolen.

A cell phone valued at $100 was reported stolen from an apartment in the 700 block of North Missouri Avenue at 4:01 a.m. on June 22.

Police were dispatched June 22 at 4:42 p.m. to the 2700 block of North Main Street in reference to a shoplifting call. The following items were reported stolen: cleaning supplies valued at $50.46; a baby monitor valued at $149.99; a camera valued at $43.97; a razor valued at $79.99; and bike tubes valued at $12.99.

Police were dispatched June 24 at 12:46 a.m. to a vehicle burglary in the 2400 block of North Main Street. A Galaxy S7 cellphone valued at $300 was reported stolen.

An officer responded June 24 at 2:38 p.m. to the 300 block of East 2nd Street in reference to a burglary call. An air compressor valued at $200 and a bag with tools valued at $100 were both reported stolen. A door jamb valued at $100 was reported damaged.

Police responded June 24 at 9:04 a.m. to an unlawful taking of a motor vehicle from a 1500 block of South Sunset Avenue location. A white 2004 Honda was reported stolen.
