United Way of Chaves County announced that the Dolly Parton Imagination Library is now available for children from birth to preschool. United Way of Chaves County is excited to offer this program to the children in the community. It is 100% free. For more information, visit imaginationlibrary.com.

The Roswell Spicy Roadrunners invite the public to a free disc golf clinic at Enchanted Lands Disc Golf Course, Canoncito Drive, from 9 a.m. to noon. All ages are invited. The Roswell Hispano Chamber of Commerce is hosting its 34th Annual Piñata Festival at the Chaves County Courthouse lawn. The Roswell Museum and Art Center (RMAC), 1011 N. Richardson Ave., presents Chalk Art Showcase. Chalk art contest to be held outside, the main (south) entrance of the museum. Competitors must sign up ahead of time and will have the morning of the 9th to work on and finish their drawings. A non-competitive, free draw area will be available for all ages with second Saturday teaching artists around to help budding artists with ideas and techniques. The 15th Annual Roswell Jazz Festival takes place at different venues throughout the town, including the popular Chaves County Courthouse Jazz Concert that is free to the public, a special jazz worship at First United Methodist Church and a jazz concert at Anderson Museum of Contemporary Art. Roswell Galacticon and Roswell SciFi Film Fest

The Roswell Galacticon and Roswell SciFi Film Fest has a new date. The film side of the fest consists of juried short and full-length feature films in the science fiction and fantasy genre. The films will be shown online at RoswellFilmCon.com. The Roswell Galacticon side is a family-friendly science fiction, fantasy, gaming and cosplay event, which includes an educational emphasis toward children. This “comic con” style event takes place at Hotel Roswell Clarion Sally Port and features a vendor hall with a wide variety of goods for sale, interactive tabletop and role-playing games, and celebrity guests. RMAC Second Saturday
