Born May 7, 1934, to Homer and Ova Burton in Harrison, Arkansas. She passed peacefully in her home on Friday, July 9, 2021.

Neva met her husband, Don Doyle, in Junior High School, and they were married on April 10, 1954. Don preceded her in death on November 29, 2020. Through their union, they had four children: Kenny Doyle and Gwen Doyle, both of Roswell NM, Kelly Doyle (Deanna) of Burleson TX, and Shannon Bradshaw (Monty) of Lubbock TX. She had seven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. Neva is survived by her four children and two younger sisters: Irene Perrin and Jane Woods (husband Kippy). She had many nieces and nephews that she cherished and with whom she shared a special bond. Not only was Neva a wonderful mom to her own children, but also to her children’s friends as well.

Neva is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, brothers: Donald and Dub Burton; along with her sisters: Thelma Heaton and Opal Whited.

Neva was a long-time member of Country Club Road Church of Christ in Roswell. She served by taking Thanksgiving dinners to shut-ins each year and always helped with VBS. Neva attended the ladies’ Bible class every Wednesday morning when her health would allow. She was THE team mom (to every team) at Eastside Little League Baseball. Neva sold Avon for many years and was known as the “Ding Dong Lady” as Neva went door to door, ringing everyone’s doorbell trying to sell her products. She was also a waitress for many years at The Hungry American restaurant. Neva was as stubborn as a mule and most likely to get things backward. She would tell the punch line to every joke before she even started. She was by far the easiest to roast at family reunions. Neva was dearly loved by everyone who was blessed to meet her.

The family will host a time of remembrance and celebration of Neva’s life at her home of over 50 years on Saturday, August 7, 2021, “Come and Go,” from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM.
