Local groups hold job fair today

About 46 businesses and organizations are expected to participate in a job fair co-hosted by the Roswell-Chaves County Economic Development Corp.

The event, which also is hosted by the city of Roswell and the New Mexico Department of Workforce Solutions, is scheduled today (Tuesday) for 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Roswell Convention Center, 912 N. Main St.

Mike Espiritu, president of the economic development group, said that he expects a good turnout.

The employers that already have signed up to participate are Adan’s Body Shop, AK Sales, Albertsons, Ambercare, Antigua and Los Cerritos restaurants, Ascent Aviation Services, Aspire Developmental Services, Cattle Baron, CAVU, Chaves County Detention Center, City of Roswell, Clarion Inn & Suites-Sally Port, Comfort Keepers, Community Homecare, Constructable, Constructors Inc., Eastern New Mexico Medical Center, Eastern New Mexico University-Roswell, First American Bank, Fortune Transportation, Frontier Medical, General Airframe Support, Goodwill, ITS Quest, Krumland Auto Group, Kymera, La Casa, Leprino Foods, Marshall’s, McDonald’s, New Mexico Rehabilitation Center, New Mexico Youth Challenge, Pecos Valley Productions, Pioneer Bank, Rhoads, Roebuck Entertainment, Roswell Correctional Center, Roswell Independent School District, Roswell Job Corps, Roswell Police Department, Target, Uncle Suds Laundry, U.S. Army, USA Beef Packing, Whataburger and Yesway/Allsup’s Convenience Stores.
