The New Mexico Crisis and Access Line and the NM 5-Actions Program are holding a webinar and panel conversation Saturday, Oct. 9, about domestic and intimate partner violence (DIPV) and addiction.

The event is held in conjunction with National Domestic Violence Awareness month.

The 9 a.m. webinar and discussion will discuss the signs, symptoms and definitions of addiction and partner violence and will discuss how to address domestic violence (DV) and intimate partner violence (IPV) safely and effectively.

This training is intended to teach participants how to recognize the signs and symptoms of DV/IPV; the dynamics of DV/IPV and the role of addiction; what to do if you believe you are in need of help; and community resources that can provide you support.

Free “tickets” to the webinar are available on the Eventbrite website, eventbrite.com. Information is also available under the “events” menu of the New Mexico 5-Actions Program, nm5actions.com.
