Annual tradition returns to downtown Roswell

A visitor to the 2021 Chile Cheese Festival on the lawn of the downtown Chaves County Courthouse looks at some of the crafts, soaps, body butters and scrubs displayed at the Cousin's Creations' booth manned by Brandi Jones Friday afternoon. The festival continues Saturday starting at 9 a.m. Some of its offerings include live music, chile roasting, an ice-cream-eating contest, pecan pie and chile stew recipe contests, food trucks, kids' activities and a scavenger hunt involving local merchants.
