David Nathaniel McDowell

David Nathaniel McDowell, 20 years of age, of Roswell, NM passed over to the other side of he joyful gathering into the arms of Father God on October 2nd, 2021 in Estherville, Iowa. His memorial will be held at 10:30 am, Tuesday, October 19th, 2021 at Christ’s Church with Pastors Lonnie Owens and Gerry Chavez. David was born in Shenandoah, Texas to Teddy and Erin McDowell on June 27th, 2001.

He was a student at Estherville-Lincoln Central High school and worked at GKN-Armstrong Wheels in Estherville, Iowa. David’s desire since he was 2 years old was to serve God and country in the U.S. Military, fighting evil abroad. He had the highest respect for the military and thanked those that served whenever he saw them. He also had great compassion for those less fortunate, especially the homeless. Whenever possible he would help them financially and with food. He had a big heart that was evident by his protective nature and sympathy (especially towards mistreated animals). The death of someone passing was especially grievous to him. The passing on of his Great Grandmother Nettie, Great Grandfather Darrell and baby sister, Eliyana was especially difficult for him. David was on track to earn his High School diploma December 2021. His plan was to enter the fight against evil joining forces shortly thereafter. He was deeply loved by many, will be greatly missed, never to be forgotten.

He is preceded in death by his sister Eliyana Shoshana McDowell, Great Gandmother Mildred McDowell, Great Grandfather Robert Dunn, Great Grandfather Jim Britt, Great Grandmother Nettie Britt and Great Grandfather Darrell Noel.

He is survived by his Brother Teddy M. McDowell, Sister Ramona M. McDowell, Parents Teddy and Erin McDowell, Grandparents Marvin and Diane McDowell and Mark and Ramona Dunn, Great Grandmother Falbly Joyce Nolen, many Aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
