Kamdyn Bishop, center, gives a thumbs up to patrons’ requests for filling their plates Tuesday evening in the cafeteria of the Boys and Girls Club, 201 S. Garden Ave., as Jada Wilson, right, serves up green beans and Daniel Jimenez, left, and Emani Ramirez waits to serve rolls. The Boys and Girls Clubs of Chaves and Lincoln Counties served a free Thanksgiving meal Tuesday for the Roswell community, preparing 30 turkeys, and also included side dishes of mashed potatoes and gravy, stuffing and slices of pecan and apple pie. The organization prepared enough food for 250 people and had served about half that in the first 40 minutes of being open.
