Jerry Tom Airhart

Jerry Tom Airhart, 79 years old, of Roswell, New Mexico, passed away on November 29, 2021 in Roswell, New Mexico.

There will be a service held on December 6, 2021 at 1:00 pm at Forrest Heights United Methodist Church 3007 33rd St Lubbock, Texas with Pastor Doug Hensley officiating.

On April 27, 1942, Jerry Airhart was born to JB and Martha Airhart in Clovis, New Mexico. He attended Monterey High School in Lubbock, Texas. He married Zela Diane Boles on April 14, 1968 in Wichita Falls, Texas.

Prior to retirement, Jerry worked in a multitude of industries. He managed the family fireworks business, cotton gins, worked for PCCA to establish West Texas’s first computer network for marketing cotton, ran for Texas State Legislature, managed political campaigns, and established a computer accounting company. Most recently he loved working with kids at the computer lab at Nancy Lopez Elementary in Roswell.

After retirement, he cherished spending time with his sons and grandkids and never missed a moment to let them know he loved them.

Those left to eternally treasure and cherish memories of Jerry are his wife of 53 years Zela; his four sons, Jarrett, spouse Hannah and their daughters Olivia and Jewell, Anthony, spouse Noelle and their son Tristan, Jeffrey, spouse Crystal and their son Christopher and daughter Katie, and James Todd and his daughter Elizabeth; and sister Valencia Hewett, spouse Bill Hewett and their daughter Sandra; and many nieces, nephews and in-laws.

He is preceded in death by his parents JB and Martha Airhart and his nephews James and Ron Hewett.
