Anthony W. Acree Jr.

Anthony W. Acree Jr. (TJ/ Twiggee) went home to be with our Lord Saturday morning, November 20, 2021, in Salem, Oregon. TJ was 39 years old.

TJ was born September 10, 1982 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, to Tony Acree and Wanda Stephens.

TJ was a big guy with an even bigger heart. He never knew a stranger. His long-time friends best knew him as the phat ninja “Twiggee”. He had mad love for his cousins and his Juggalo and Juggalette friends, and was a die-hard fan for the band Hemlock. Twiggee was King of the Mosh pit! He was someone you could always count on for a listening ear, and would give you his best advice. He loved telling bad dad jokes for laughs, and was a Star Wars fanatic. Rapping and wrestling with his cousins and friends was one of the things he loved most.

TJ was preceded in death by his grandfather, Frank “Papa” Wright, and a brother, Chuck Acree.

Those left to cherish his memory are his girlfriend, Gloria Russell, who we thank from the bottom of our hearts for loving TJ so fiercely; his son, Josiah Acree, who was the light of TJ’s life, and Malachi and Hannah, who he loved as his own; his parents; two brothers, Randall and David Acree; grandmother, Ella “Granny” Wright of Roswell, NM; Uncle Kevin Wright (Marilyn) of Farmington; two Aunts, Ellen “Bebell” Wright of Albuquerque, NM and Karen Jaramillo of Roswell, NM; three Nieces, Layla, Alana, and Adison Acree; Cousins Katherine Wright, Jeannie Wright, Kevin Wright, Jr., and TJ’s closest cousins Patrick, Joshua, and Jeremy Earle who will forever cherish the countless memories they have of TJ; and TJ’s closest friend and chosen family in Roswell, Ryan Miller, who gave TJ a true and unconditional friendship.

Words cannot express how deeply he will be missed by his family, friends, and anyone who was blessed to know him. His wings were ready, but our hearts were not. Until we meet again… Whoop Whoop!
