Lucila “Lucy” R. Ramirez, 76, passed away on Monday, January 3, 2022, in Roswell, New Mexico. Please take a moment to share a kind thought or memory with the Ramirez family at www.andersonbethany.com.

SERVICES: There will be a Viewing at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home on Thursday, January 13, 2022, 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM, followed by a Rosary at 1:00 PM. A Mass for Lucila will be held at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church on Friday, January 14, 2022, at 10:00 AM. Interment will be held at 2:00 PM at South Park Cemetery.

On May 27, 1945, Lucy was born to Magdalena and Antonio Ramirez in Ft. Davis, Texas. She was the beloved wife of Erineo “Eddie” Ramirez Sr, whom she married on August 28, 1965, in Carlsbad, New Mexico. A member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Lucy had a sociable and engaging personality. She enjoyed both shopping and going to the bingo. Lucy loved having gatherings and cookouts with family and friends. She was a very caring person who would call her loved ones to check up on them or even visit over the phone.

SURVIVORS: Those left to eternally treasure and cherish loving memories of Lucy are her children: Anita Ramirez and Vance Haldeman, Mike Ramirez, Elaine Palomino, Valerie Ramirez and Jessie Corralejo, Sandra Valverde, Jimmy Ramirez and Jeannette, Nena Ramirez; grandchildren: Mark Sr, David Jr Lujan, Edward “Eddie boy,” Issac, Efrain Rodriguez, Phillip “PJ” Jr. Ramirez, Rene and Larry Jr. Palomino, Robert, Israel, Carlos, Alma Ramirez, Adriana, Paul, Jessie Jr. Corralejo, Jozlynne Ramirez, Justyne Ramirez, Reage Ortega, Jo Jo Lopez, Eloy Saenz, Ethan Ramirez, and Steven Coronado; nineteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson, whom she loved dearly; as well as her brothers and sisters: Trine and Carolina Rodriguez, Antonio Ramirez, Terry and Arturo Juarez, Dina and Luis Ruiz, and Lupe Melendrez.

PRECEDED: Lucy is preceded in death by her husband Erineo “Eddie” Ramirez; sons: Eddie Ramirez Jr, Phillip Ramirez Sr, son-in-law, and Larry Palomino Sr; parents: Magdalena and Antonio Ramirez; brothers: Cornelio Ramirez and Santiago Rodriguez; sister, Lorena Ramirez.

PALLBEARERS: Honored to serve as pallbearers are Eloy Saenz, Ethan Ramirez, Steven Coronado, David and Mark Lujan, Larry Palomino Jr, Robert, Israel, and Carlos Ramirez.
